Learning Target:

  • I can edit my two portrait photos I took earlier this week.
  • I can edit to enhance my subject’s personality.
  • I can reflect on my experiences with this assignment.
  • I can post my two photos to my Visual Journal Adobe Spark Page and include the last two paragraphs from my reflection

Steps:

1. Edit your Indoor/Outdoor photos so that the person’s personality trait shines through

2. Complete Reflection #3 in Google Classroom.

3.Post the two final photos to your Adobe Spark page. Include the last two paragraphs of the reflection in the post.

4. Share a link in Adobe Spark and turn it into Google Classroom for the September Check in.

  • I can take the opposite photo I took yesterday, either an outside or inside portrait photo of one of my classmates.
  • I can capture a second aspect of my classmate’s personality traits in a photograph.

Steps:

1. Find out a 2nd thing thing about your classmate you could feature in your Indoor/Outdoor portrait of that person.

2. Go take a second picture of someone, either outside or in the studio.

3. Start to edit your photos so that the person’s personality trait shine’s through

2. Find out one thing about your classmate you could feature in your Indoor/Outdoor portrait of that person.

3. Go take one picture of someone, either outside or in the studio.

Weekend Photo Challenge: What Matters

For this weekend you will bring in three photos of a subject sacred to you. Light the photograph in a way that shows just how important this subject is to you. Let the editing and lighting show how you feel about this subbject.

Examples:

Take several images of the same subject. Adjusting camera angles, focus, etc.

We will rate the photos on Monday.

Final Photos will be turned in on Tuesday, 10/1

What I’ll be Grading You On:

  • Clear/In Focus Image
  • Using the angle and the light that shows how you feel about the subject.
  • How well you were able to select your final image.
  • How well you edit your final image.

  • I can reflect on the practice photo I took yesterday.
  • I can make a plan for what my final photo will look like.

Steps:

  1. Shoot your practice photo for the new Photo Challenge: Fast Shutter Speed with symmetry.
  2. Post the practice photo to your Adobe Spark Page.
  3. Write a reflection on how you could freeze a fast motion subject and double it for the final image.
  4. Make the final photo for the assignment.

  2. Go out and use a fast shutter speed to freeze an object or person in motion. Remember to be professional. Have a risky idea, ask me first!!

  • I can reflect on the images I made, celebrate my successes and consider what I could do to improve my photography.

Steps:

  1. Turn in your final two images for the Slow Shutter with Story assignment.
  2. Make sure to save them with the correct export settings.
  3. Images are due TODAY.
  4. In Google Classroom complete and turn in Reflection #2 on the Slow Shutter with Story assignment.
