To Do List for 9/23

Learning Target:

  • I can write a reflection where I brainstorm different ways to add story to the slow shutter speed photo I made last week..
  • I can make another slow shutter speed photo, this time adding more story to the image.

Steps:

  1. Pull up the photo you made for last week’s activity: Shooting a slow Shutter Speed Photo.
  2. Upload the photo to your Adobe Spark Visual Journal.
  3. Write a reflection in your visual journal about what sort of a story you could tell with this effect. What would you need to add to make a compelling story out of this photograph? What would this image look like?
  4. Make several pictures from different camera angles and different shutter speeds.
  5. Use the same selection process you used to make your final Decisive Moment image.

Tuesday

Put the finishing touches on the image and turn it in as a .jpg to Google classroom.

Learning Target:

  • With my table mates I can take a slow shutter speed photo in one of three ways.
  • I can help my table mates in setting up, shooting and transferring the files from the camera to their computers.
  • I can write a reflection where I brainstorm different ways to add story to the slow shutter speed photo I made yesterday.

Steps:

  1. Pull up the photo you made for yesterday’s activity: Shooting a slow Shutter Speed Photo.
  2. Upload the photo to your Adobe Spark Visual Journal.
  3. Write a reflection in your visual journal about what sort of a story you could tell with this effect. What would you need to add to make a compelling story out of this photograph?
  4. Find examples on line of the kind of shot you want to make. Google “Slow Shutter Storytelling” and choose photos that inspire you.
  5. Take that reflection and use it to make two final storytelling images.

Monday

Edit the photos in Lightroom and Photoshop in order to bring the story elements of the photo to the forefront.

Steps:

  1. Today’s Activity: Shooting a slow Shutter Speed Photo.
  2. Work in groups with a tripod.
  3. Create a slow shutter effect.: Slow Zoom, Ghosted Image, Light Painting.
  4. Transfer photos and have one final photo before the end of the period. Slow Shutter with Storytelling.

Friday:

Brainstorm ways to add a storytelling element to your image. Shoot a final version of the image that has slow shutter speed and a storytelling image.

Today’s Activity: Shoot One Slow Shutter Speed Photo

Your mission for today is take one slow shutter speed photo with the help of your table mates.

Step 1: Sign out a camera and a tripod.

Step 2: Set up the tripod. You will need to help each other out to accomplish this.

Step 3: Each person will take a picture of someone else in their group. Everyone shoots their own individual images. (USE THE TV Mode)

Step 4: Capture either a slow zoom, a ghosted image, or a light painted image, using yesterday’s demonstration as an inspiration.

Step 5: Use the video on changing shutter speed on our cameras and the post on the different types of slow shutter speed images for ideas on how to accomplish this.

Step 6: Transfer your photos from your computer to your User Storage folder.

Please help out anyone you can. There is only one of me, and I am not here today.

  • I know what I need to make a slow shutter speed effect tomorrow during class.

Steps:

  1. Strong goes over what you need to know in order to create the slow shutter effect for tomorrow.
  2. Work in grooups and a tripod.
  3. Create a slow shutter effect.: Slow Zoom, Ghosted Image, Light Painting.
  4. Read over the requirement for Slow Shutter with Storytelling.

Work in the TV mode on the camera in groups in order to create a slow shutter speed effect.

  • I can turn all seven images into Google Classroom.
  • I can upload all seven Jpgs to my Visual Journal Spark Page.

Steps:

  1. Strong explains how to turn in all seven photos for your Composition Scavenger Hunt.
  2. Post them to your visual journals.
  3. SCAVENGER HUNT is due today.
  4. Read over the requirement for Slow Shutter with Storytelling.

Steps:

1.Work on the Composition Scavenger Hunt.. Find examples of each and post them to your visual journals. Then take 7 of our own photos demonstrating your mastery of these concepts. – SCAVENGER HUNT IS DUE TOMORROW..

2. Load images into Adobe Lightroom. Edit photos to be straight and in focus.
