Day: December 16, 2019

Learning Target:

• I can revisit the draft Strong looked at, making sure my sentences are visual.
• I can make the changes Strong suggested re: my Personal Essay
• I can turn in my final draft into Google Classroom
• I can make two photos from the two sketches for my New Year New You photos.

Steps:

1. Work on the personal essay re-write. Do all of items on the checklist.
2. Rewrite is due TODAY.
3. Turn in final draft into the final essay assignment post in Google Classroom
4. Make photos of the two sketches you made for the New Year New You. photo challenge.
5. Two photos are due Friday, 12/20.

For this week you will have a look at the personal essay feedback I gave you. You will make sure you have the following conditions met for your essay.

Checklist:

• Highlight five sentences that you will use as a reference for making five photographs.
• Have enough visual information in your sentences in order to make the photos.
• Font should be 12 point, Garamond or Times New Roman.
• Line spacing set to double spaced .
• Capitalize all “I”s as “I”s. Example. “I went to the beach”, not “i went to the beach.”
• Read each sentence as if you were reading it out loud. If you can read it out loud at home, read it out loud. You will catch things that you don’t by just reading it.
• Make sure the piece has a smooth transition between beginning, middle and end.
• Make sure you have one clear story to tell, not three different stories.
• Make sure the essay is at least 500 words.
